SVG vs PNG: When to Use Which

Vector vs Raster

SVGs are mathematical vectors, meaning they scale infinitely without losing quality. They are perfect for logos, icons, and UI elements. PNGs are rasterized pixels, ideal for complex images requiring transparency.

The Verdict

If it is a simple graphic or logo, use SVG. For complex graphics or photos with transparent backgrounds, stick to PNG.
